About This Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Pre-K 3 Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Pearland, TX. In this role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of three-year-old children. You will design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, manage classroom dynamics, and build strong partnerships with families to ensure each child thrives during these foundational years.
What You'll Do
- Plan and execute a play-based curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards and stimulates curiosity.
- Develop and implement engaging early childhood learning experiences that foster curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving skills in our students.
- Assess and document each child's developmental progress, tailoring activities to meet individual learning needs.
- Maintain open, professional communication with parents and families, promoting open communication and collaboration.
- Demonstrate exceptional classroom management skills and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Ensure compliance with Texas Rising Star objectives and Texas Department of Family and Protective Services licensing regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a lead or assistant teacher in a licensed preschool setting.
- Deep understanding of the milestones and behavioral needs of three-year-old children.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them prior to employment.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting as required by Texas state law.
Nice to Have
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Texas teaching certification.
- Familiarity with specific early childhood curricula such as CLI Engage or Creative Curriculum.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish to support diverse family communications in the Pearland community.
