What You'll Do
Instructional
- Effectively teaches according to the Danielson Framework:
- Planning and Preparation: applying knowledge of content and pedagogy,
knowing and valuing students, setting instructional outcomes, using resources
effectively, designing and analyzing assessments.
- Learning Environments: cultivating respectful and affirming environments,
fostering a culture for learning, maintaining purposeful environments,
supporting positive student behavior, organizing spaces for learning.
- Learning Experiences: communicating about purpose and content, using
questioning and discussion techniques, engaging students in learning, using
assessment for learning, responding flexibly to student needs.
- Principled Teaching: engaging in reflective practice, documenting student
progress, engaging families and communities, contributing to the school
community, growing and developing professionally, acting in service of students
- Teaches assigned classes with diligence and preparation.
- Familiarized with curriculum scope and sequence to develop a weekly lesson plan
and learning objectives based on curriculum guides.
- Integrates Biblical principles and a Christian worldview across all subject areas.
- Utilizes varied instructional strategies to engage students and meet curricular goals
within the framework of the school’s philosophy.
- Designs a program of study that, as much as possible, addresses the individual
needs, interests, and abilities of students, encouraging each to reach their full
potential.
- Coordinates and plans excursions, following the Field Trip Protocols, collectively
with grade level groups (Lower/Upper Elementary) for field trips, guest speakers,
and media to enhance instruction and provide extension of learning opportunities.
- Regularly assesses student learning and provides timely progress reports.
- Maintains effective classroom management both in and outside the classroom.
- Prepares comprehensive materials and guidance for substitute teachers to ensure
instructional continuity.
Non-Instructional
- Acknowledges parents as the primary educators before God and partners with them
in their child’s educational journey.
- Nurtures the whole child—spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, and
emotionally.
- Supports the administration by adhering to school policies, procedures, and
directives.
- Able to positively supervise and mentor aides and other personnel (support staff,
volunteers, etc.)
- Maintains accurate and timely attendance and academic records to track student
progress.
- Communicates regularly with students, parents, and administration regarding
student performance.
- Excellent oral and written communications to parents, students and staff, through
conferences, formal and informal meetings, notes, newsletters, end of year written
report on children and injury reports as needed.
- Keeps the classroom clean, organized, and visually engaging, with attention to
bulletin boards, storage, and layout.
- Prepares the classroom each morning for learning and ensures it is ready for
after-school ministry use.

Bachelor degree required, preferred in Education
