About This Role
Newman Catholic Early Childhood Center: St. Michael in Wausau, WI is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to work with Mixed / All Ages in a center-based environment. This position requires completed early childhood education college credits.
Position Summary:
This position requires a person who is able to plan and carry out a daily curriculum designed to meet the physical and developmental needs of a group of young children. This person needs to be sensitive to the needs of individual children and relate well to children, parents and co-workers. Flexibility is a key element of this position with regular and punctual attendance is necessary.

What You'll Do
Job Description:
- Follows DCF regulations, YoungStar, Newman Catholic Early Childhood Center and Newman Catholic Schools Employee/Parent Handbook policies and procedures
- Prepare, plan and implement materials and children’s activities in advance while meeting the individual and group needs of the children.
- Write weekly lesson plans, incorporating play-based curriculum, SEL and religion components, around the individual child’s stage of development.
- Keep the classroom neat, organized and eliminate clutter at all times.
- Support and implement positive guidance policies and objectives.
- Most be physically able to be involved in children’s activities, provide adequate supervision, and be able to respond to children’s needs quickly.
- Maintain flexibility in hours. Maybe asked to come in early, stay late or shorten breaks due to the needs of the center.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
Early Childhood Coures work or Associates Degree is preferred. Willing to train motivated and dedicated candidates in Early Childhood. Attend and fulfill continuing education requirements per DCF 251. Maintain current certification from The Wisconsin Registry and have or willing to complete CPR/First Aid training.
