About This Role

Wellness and Resilience Center is a community based Behavioral and Mental Health agency dedicated to providing high-quality therapy services for children between the ages of 3 to 13 and their parents in the Dayton community. We are seeking dynamic and passionate Licensed Social Workers (LSW) and Licensed Independent Social Workers (LISW) to join our team. Job Summary: Conducts mental health assessments, develops treatment plans and provides supportive therapeutic direct services to clients.

What You'll Do

Supervisory Responsibilities: If independently licensed, may provide clinical supervision for staff with LSW credential.  

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct and document initial in-depth assessment by interviewing client, assessing medical, psychological, emotional and social strengths and needs.  
  • In consultation with client (and as appropriate, family members or significant others), develop Individual Treatment Plan that includes the specific mental health services and supports needed by the client, mutually-developed treatment goals and objectives, the treatment services with frequency and anticipated duration of services, and discharge plan.
  • Serve as the clinical point of contact for assigned clients and collaborate with other staff assigned to the client (e.g. case manager, QMHS) to ensure high-quality treatment and coordination of care.
  • Provide on-going individual and family counseling based on cognitive behavioral therapy and other evidence-based therapies and methodologies.
  • Provide group counseling and/or facilitate psycho-social groups based on established principles and methodologies.
  • Maintain clinical records in compliance with agency program policies and regulatory standards.  
  • Strive to meet the agency’s productivity requirements of the position.
  • Submit accurate, clear and thorough progress notes within agency required timelines.
  • Duties may include case management, case coordination and/or referrals and linkages to other community resources.
  • Attend and participate actively in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
  • Follow policies and procedures and participate in quality reviews of patient charts.
  • Comply with federal, state and legal regulations; contractual requirements and mandated reporting rules.  
  • Adhere to NASW Code of Ethics and maintains professionalism at all times.
  • Maintain client confidence and confidentiality per agency policy and federal law in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and US Dept of HHS 42 CFR Part 2 Revised Rule for the treatment of substance use disorders. 
  • Demonstrate the values of Wellness and Resilience Center.
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge of current clinical practice, approaches and modalities.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge and experience with a range of therapeutic approaches and modalities. Experience with individual, family and group counseling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and rapport-building skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic health records system
  • If supervising non-independently-licensed staff, demonstrated ability to manage others in a supportive way, establish clear expectations and hold supervisees accountable to professional ethics, quality standards and productivity requirements
  • Must have sensitivity to cultural differences, and a demonstrated competence in working with persons of color, of various faith, ethnic, nationality and economic backgrounds

Education and Experience:


  • Masters of Social Work (MSW) or equivalent degree (e.g. MSSW)
  • Minimum of two years related experience required.
  • Must have an active, unencumbered license of social work in state of Ohio. Independent licensure (LISW, LISW-S) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:


  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May travel by car in community to see clients.

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and crisis de-escalation skills with diverse populations and underserved communities
