Pre-K Lead Teacher

What You'll Do

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based lesson plans aligned with GELDS standards.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and child development
• Support children's growth in early literacy, math readiness, motor skills, and social-emotional development
• Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance and developmentally appropriate strategies
• Observe, document, and assess student progress and developmental milestones
• Use assessment data to individualize instruction and support each child's needs
• Able to communicate with parents
• Participate in required training, staff meetings, and professional development as requires b DECAL and the program

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Valid Georgia teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education
• Experience in working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting
• Strong understanding of a child's development and early learning practices
• Excellent Communication,organization, and classroom management skills
• Ability to create a warm, patient, and engaging learning environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with lesson plans
• Strong teamwork
