About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Assistant to join our educational team in Humboldt, TN. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a supportive, safe, and engaging learning environment for students. You will provide vital classroom management support, work with students individually or in small groups, and help implement daily lesson plans to foster academic and social growth.
What You'll Do
- Assist the lead teacher in preparing materials, organizing classrooms, and implementing daily lesson plans.
- Provide individual or small-group instructional support to students reinforcing core subjects.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch periods, and field trips to ensure safety.
- Help maintain a clean, orderly, and positive learning environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting required by the state of Tennessee.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with children, parents, and staff.
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable demeanor suited for an educational setting.
