Toddler Teacher
About This Role
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Tolland, Connecticut. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children aged 20 to 30 months can explore, learn, and grow. You will design and implement age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while maintaining open communication with families.

What You'll Do
- Lead daily classroom activities including circle time, sensory play, arts and crafts, and outdoor exploration.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets all state licensing standards.
- Monitor and document each child's development, milestones, and daily routines to share with parents.
- Provide attentive care, including assistance with feeding, diapering, and potty training.
- Support emotional regulation and social skills through positive guidance and co-regulation techniques.
Requirements
- Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and a medical clearance required by the State of Connecticut.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 35 pounds, sit on the floor, and move quickly to ensure child safety.
- Genuine love for children and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom setting
- A strong understanding of child development
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening
Nice to Have
- Professional experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center.
- Knowledge of Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS).
- Experience using childcare communication apps like Lillio.
