What You'll Do

  • Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities based on weekly themes
  • Supervise children during before- and after-school program hours and full-day summer sessions
  • Attend and monitor students on field trips, ensuring safety and appropriate behavior
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom and activity space
  • Guide and support children’s social, emotional, and behavioral development
  • Encourage participation, creativity, and positive peer interactions
  • Follow program schedules, routines, and licensing guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with staff and families regarding student needs and progress
  • Assist with setup, cleanup, and preparation of daily activities and materials

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience
  • Previous experience working with school-age children in a classroom, childcare, or camp setting preferred
  • Ability to supervise and ensure the safety of children in both classroom and field trip environments
  • Strong communication skills and basic computer skills
  • Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
  • Valid driver’s license preferred

Nice to Have

  • Valid driver’s license with experience safely transporting children to and from public schools
