What You'll Do
- Design engaging lesson plans that spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and build essential skills for young learners.
- Offer top-notch care, including feeding, diapering, and establishing daily routines, all while ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of each child.
- Keep classrooms clean, organized, and inviting, creating opportunities for children to explore and grow.
- Monitor and record each child's progress, sharing insights with parents and caregivers to keep them informed and involved.
- Apply positive guidance strategies to promote respect, empathy, and self-confidence in our young learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain consistency in curriculum and care, ensuring a cohesive and supportive environment for all.
- Commit to ongoing learning and professional growth through workshops, training sessions, and team meetings.
- Maintain strict adherence to state regulations, health, and safety standards to ensure a secure and healthy environment for all.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year working with infants or toddlers in an early learning or childcare setting.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Education: CDA, TCC, or a Degree in Early Childhood Education (required or in progress).
- Demonstrated understanding of child development principles and best practices for early education.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a nurturing and patient approach.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position (lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, standing, etc.).
- Must successfully pass all background checks and health screenings.
- Education: CDA, TCC, or a Degree in Early Childhood Education (required or in progress).
Nice to Have
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus, as is experience in curriculum development or adaptation for infant/toddler programs.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, French, or other languages, are a valuable asset.
- Familiarity with quality-rated programs or accreditation standards can help us meet our goals for excellence.
