About This Role

Rising Stars Day School is looking for a Lead Teacher for our upcoming Summer Camp Program! This lead teacher will be in charge of kids ranging from 3 - 7 years old. We are looking for someone who can work the majority of the weeks (the month of July will be required). The preferred hours are 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (1 hour of lunch), The weeks needed are as follows: From June 22nd - August 14th.

  • Staff Orientation Days: June 15th - 16th.

What You'll Do

Our ideal teacher should possess the following qualifications:


  • Deliver fun and engaging lessons and crafts to students using RSDS weekly themes
  • Supervise students and ensure student safety and well-being
  • Energetic, upbeat, and personal demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable!
  • Loves working with children
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to work with up to 15 students

Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School diploma
  • Two or more years of experience working with children in a classroom setting
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
  • Provide a negative TB test result prior to beginning work
  • Successfully pass CPS, fingerprinting, and criminal background checks
  • Provide 2 references
