SHADES of Development, a leading provider of after-school and summer programs in East Tennessee, is seeking reliable, energetic, and compassionate team members who enjoy working with children in a group setting. In this role, you’ll help lead engaging STEM, creative arts, and healthy lifestyle activities for PreK and K–5 students.

Summer Schedules:
- PreK & K–5th Grade: 7:00 AM – 12:30 PM or 12:30 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Substitutes: Must be available for full shifts at least 2 days per week
School-Year Schedules:
- PreK: 12:30 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- K–5th Grade: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Substitutes: Must be available for full shifts at least 2 days per week
Enjoy consistent weekday hours—no nights or weekends—and a fun, engaging work environment!
Pay Range: $15.00–$20.25 per hour, based on experience and education
Be part of the SHADES Afterschool and Summer Camp team, where students learn through interactive, adventure-based experiences.

What You'll Do
- Facilitate group activities for children
- Plan and organize lessons
- Provide supervision and positive behavior guidance
- Assist with snack preparation and cleanup
- Help with daily program setup and breakdown
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required

Our first afterschool site was at Powell Elementary School established in 1995. Since then SHADES has grown to 14 afterschool locations.
