Early Childhood, Preschool Pre-Reading and Math Teacher 3-5 year olds
About This Role
St. Martin's Preschool is seeking a nurturing, collaborative Preschool Teacher to join our half day early childhood program serving children ages 3–5. This position focuses on pre-reading and early math instruction within a departmentalized classroom format. Ideal candidates are team players who communicate effectively with parents, work collaboratively with colleagues, and create a warm, engaging learning environment that supports young children’s growth and development.
What You'll Do
- Teach pre-reading and early math skills to children ages 3–5
- Foster a nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom environment
- Work within a departmentalized teaching format alongside other preschool teachers
- Collaborate with teaching teams to plan and implement engaging lessons and activities
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Rotate responsibilities for “Stay and Play” Tuesday and Friday afternoons
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety
- Follow all state licensing guidelines and program policies
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Participate in team meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities
