About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Preschool Floater for our afternoon shift in Naugatuck, CT. In this role, you will provide critical classroom support, assist lead teachers across various age groups, and ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children during the latter part of the day.
What You'll Do
- Managing afternoon classroom activities and routines.
- Supervise children during playground time, snack time, and rest periods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in compliance with state regulations.
- Assist with end-of-day sign-outs and ensure smooth communication with parents during pickup.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with young children in a licensed childcare facility or school setting.
- Ability to pass background checks and fingerprinting required by the state of Connecticut.
- Strong communication skills and the physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds.
