Teacher Assistant
About This Role
The Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in our Infant/Toddler classroom by helping provide a warm, safe, and engaging environment for young children. This role assists with daily routines, classroom activities, and nurturing interactions that support early development. We can help you become a qualified ECE teacher through hands‑on experience and professional growth opportunities. The Teacher Assistant also collaborates with staff and contributes to a caring, inclusive classroom where every child can learn and grow.
What You'll Do
- Assist in supervising and ensuring the safety and well-being of infants and toddlers
- Support the Lead Teacher in planning and executing developmentally appropriate activities and lessons
- Provide nurturing care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting children as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Observe and document children’s progress, sharing observations with the Lead Teacher
- Encourage positive social interactions and model respectful behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s daily experiences
- Participate in staff meetings, ongoing training, and professional development opportunities
- Uphold the mission, values, and faith-based principles of the program in all interactions
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and genuine love for children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Nice to Have
- Associate’s degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience in a faith-based educational setting
- Knowledge of child development best practices
- Bilingual abilities are a plus

Salary Range: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
