About This Role

Treasureland Preschool in Denver, CO is seeking a qualified Lead Teacher Pre-K Classroom to work with Preschool (3–5) in a center-based, other environment. This position requires the appropriate professional qualifications.

We're a relationship-based, play-centered preschool in Denver, Colorado, seeking a Lead Teacher who approaches early childhood with warmth and intention. Our Pre-K classroom is a place where curiosity thrives, and behavior is met with steady presence and guidance. If you're looking for a community where play, inquiry, and relationship drive the work, you may have found it. We're looking for an educator who delights in building thoughtful partnerships with families, values collaboration, and brings a gentle presence into the room.

At Treasureland Preschool, we honor process over product, inquiry over performance, and guidance rooted in connection and consistency. Our school day runs from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with teachers on site from 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM. We believe in developmentally appropriate practice, inclusive community, and ongoing professional growth.

We are always accepting applications for this role.

What You'll Do

  • Maintaining a safe, healthy, and well-prepared classroom environment that supports children's physical and emotional well-being.

  • Observing and documenting children's development to inform teaching practices and support their growth.
  • Engaging in collaborative lesson planning and reflective practice to ensure the highest quality learning experiences.
  • Following all Colorado licensing requirements and school health and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of child development and ability to apply that knowledge in a classroom setting.
  • Experience working in a licensed early childhood setting, preferably in a relationship-based, play-centered environment.
  • Confidence in curriculum planning and classroom leadership, with the ability to think creatively and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as basic computer skills.
  • High energy and ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) to foster a positive, inclusive team environment.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, with a strong commitment to health and safety.
  • Ability to clear full background check and pass health screening.
  • Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
