Afterschool Care Teachers
About This Role
Whitefield Academy Preschool in Louisville, KY is seeking a qualified Afterschool Care Teachers to work with Infant / Toddler (0–2), Preschool (3–5) in a center-based environment. This position requires no formal credential — just relevant experience.
At Whitefield Academy Preschool, we are currently looking for employees to staff our afterschool program each day. We are looking for Christian employees to work in a Christian environment on regular basis to provide quality care for our students.

What You'll Do
- Work with the Extended Care Coordinator in all daily functions of the program including getting ready before the program starts and cleaning up at the end of the day.
- Work in a classroom providing care of children, ensuring their health and safety, and directing all classroom activities. Providing a range of activities and following lesson plans.
- Have positive, professional, and helpful interactions with the children and other staff members.
- Multi-tasking is important and necessary.
- Attend 15 hours of training after hours to keep state compliance. Must be able to put the training into practice in the classroom.
- Understand the Afterschool care structure and goals for the program.
- Complete all daily classroom paperwork and record keeping- attendance, accident reports.
- Be able to work from 3:00-6:00p.m. starting in August.
Requirements
- Ability to read, speak, and write English
- HS diploma
- Be able to stand on feet and work with children 90% of the time
- Be able to walk up and down steps.
- Be able to lift 35 pounds when needed.
- Church attendance and be able to provide a testimony when prompted
Nice to Have
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Current TB Test
- Previous experience
