About This Role
This Teacher - 2 year old classroom position at Wildflowers Learning Center in Madison, WI offers $18 – $21/Hr. Candidates should bring relevant professional experience and a reliable work ethic in a childcare facility environment.
We're seeking a dedicated full-time teacher for our 2-year-old classroom who can create a nurturing environment that fosters the intellectual and emotional growth of our children.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our Director to design engaging activities that promote enrichment, physical activity, and emotional well-being for our learners.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with our school's educational goals
- Establish a safe, supportive, and healthy learning environment that encourages children's growth and development
- Supervise daily activities in the classroom and provide guidance and support as needed
- Regularly observe and assess children's development to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions
- Build strong relationships with families through regular communication and collaboration
- Conduct bi-annual parent-teacher conferences to discuss children's progress and set goals
- Employ Conscious Discipline techniques to promote positive behaviors and developmentally appropriate expectations
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting children and equipment, as well as standing and sitting for extended periods
- Demonstrate a warm and supportive attitude towards children and families
- Adapt to changes within the program and be flexible in your approach
- Perform other duties as required and be willing to have fun!
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registry of Wisconsin certificate or ability to become lead teacher certified is required (we provide all materials to reach lead teacher certification)
- 15 hours of training in infant and toddler care for teachers assigned with this age group. Must be completed within 6 months after assuming the position.
Nice to Have
- Two years of experience working in the childcare field would be an asset
- CPR/First Aid Training, SBS Training, and Child Abuse and Neglect Training would be beneficial
