Assist Teacher in 3-5 year old classroom

Our Assistant Teachers exhibit enthusiasm, a caring attitude and a love of learning. Our Assistant Teachers support developmentally appropriate academic and values curricula in a loving and safe environment. Our Assistant Teachers assist in classroom management including supervision, transitions, cleaning and preparing supplies.
What You'll Do
Shifts: Full-time 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Part time 8:00 to 2:00 PM
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Ensure a safety center environment- including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of all children.
- Institute weekly lesson plans and activities.
- Substitute in classrooms when needed.
- Work independently with little or no guidance.
- Help children with the potty training process.
- Interact with the children
Requirements
In order to be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements, including:
- A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Must be physically able to lift and carry a minimum of 45 pounds, engage in physical activity with children, and work indoors or outdoors.
- Must be able to constantly move and interact with the children to provide stimulation and develop relationships.
- Must be able to alternate often between sitting and standing.
- Must be able to maintain sight and sound of the children at all times.
- CPR and First Aid certified or willingness to obtain.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Pass pre-employment screenings and trainings as required.
- Minimum of six months of professional childcare experience.
- High energy.
- Willing to attend once a month staff meeting.
- Must clear full background check, fingerprinting and must pass health screening.
