What You'll Do
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Education Professional to join our team. In this role, you will:
- Lead a mixed-age classroom, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment.
- Implement and adapt the Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum to meet the developmental needs and interests of each child.
- Document children's learning processes through observations and reflections.
- Collaborate with co-teachers, families, and the community to create a cohesive learning experience.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- CDA or AA/BA in ECE; or a Non-ECE BA with 15 ECE credits and 1 year of experience. Or Bachelor's degree in any major.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of principles and techniques of Early Childhood Education.
Nice to Have
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
- 1+ years of experience working within an ECE setting.
- Training in and experience with Virginia’s Quality Initiatives, NAEYC, Reggio Emilia Inspired learning models, and Creative Curriculum.
