About This Role
Maintain a safe play environment. Observe and monitor children's play activities. Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues. Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts. Care for children in institutional setting.

What You'll Do
- Provides care and instruction to promote academic and social/emotion growth
- Monitors children's behavior and safety inside and outside of the classroom
- Assists with clean-up and other related tasks following daily activates
- Prepares classroom for activities, including creating lessons and preparing materials
- Creates bulletin boards, maintains materials and supplies, contacts parents and may make copies
- May attend in-service training sessions
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
- Follows all AZDHS licensing regulations
Requirements
Must have all qualifications prior to entry:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)
Level 1 IVP Fingerprint card
Must have after hire;
First Aid/CPR
Food Handlers Card
Physical Requirements:
- Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing
- Incumbents may be subjected to blood and other body fluids
- Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
